Graeme Macnish
Has practiced exclusively in litigation since he was first
admitted and specialised in all aspects of insurance law,
including in particular public liability, product liability,
professional indemnity, corporate and directors and officers
liability, employment law, workers’ compensation, personal
injuries, and commercial law. In addition has experience in
maritime law, and marine insurance.
Timothy Cocks
Has practiced almost exclusively in all aspects of maritime
law, admiralty law, and marine insurance. Has practical
experience in all aspects of the International Group of
Protection and Indemnity Clubs, having worked for Thos R
Miller and Son, the Managers of the United Kingdom P & I Club
in London, in 1974 and 1975. He acts for all of the International
Group Protection and Indemnity Clubs in addition to many hull
underwriters and major local shipbuilders and has extensive
experience in Maritime related litigation, Maritime commercial
transactions and Maritime crisis management. He has extensive
experience in the area of livestock export from Australia acting
for all of the major Australian exporters of livestock and the
foreign vessel owners carrying such livestock.
Ashley Nichols
Ashley undertook his articles of clerkship at this firm and was
subsequently admitted to partnership on the 1st of July, 1985. Ashley
has practiced in all areas of marine and non-marine litigation in which
each of Graeme Macnish and Tim Cocks practice. He also handles a wide range
of commercial matters and has extensive experience in casualty investigation.
Waqas Naseem
Commenced as a restricted practitioner with the firm in 1999, becoming an
associate partner in 2004 and was subsequently admitted to partnership in
2007. He has practiced in all areas of marine and non-marine litigation in
which each of Graeme Macnish and Tim Cocks practice.

Julia Routley
Julia commenced with the firm as an articled clerk in December 2000.
She became an Associate Partner with the firm in mid-2007. Julia practices
in all areas of marine and non-marine litigation in which each of Graeme
Macnish and Tim Cocks practice.
Paul Hopwood
Paul commenced with the firm as an articled clerk in April, 2001. He
became an Associate Partner with the firm in mid-2007. Paul practices in
all areas of marine and non-marine litigation in which each of Graeme Macnish
and Tim Cocks practice.
